I started the day exploring North Beach, Chinatown and the Wharf. These were the neighborhoods closest to my hostel. North Beach is the Little Italy of San Francisco, it was also a center of the Beatnik culture. Jack Kerouac lived in the area, as did many other famous writers. [...]
